MDF
Usage
MDF, or Medium Density Fiberboard, is a highly resistant material that offers many different alternatives of use. It yields turned, carved and varnished finishes and paintings in general, or also decorative papers, veneers or PVC.
Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is denser than plywood.
This manufactured material is fantastic for the furniture industry, as is durable, aesthetic, and has many other applications. It is used extensively in kitchens and for mouldings, and in bathroom environments. It's use as an exterior cladding for housing has successfully been trialed, and structural applications.
In order to provide even more quality and creativity, we also produce MDP(Medium Density Particleboard). A homogeneous industrial board with a regular and smooth surface and a perfect cut finish.
Advantages

Substantial economy due to high performance.
Machinability, laquering properties, strength and ability to maintain shape are all well suited to MDF. Door skins and architraves are easily moulded. MDF has better moisture sorption characteristics than timber.
The Fire resistance of MDF is also better than that of timber.
Although attractive enough in its raw form MDF is usually coated with a Melamine paper, which can provide a full palette of colours and artificial wood veneers.

Production
Our modern MDF plants are located in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. We have a production of over 500,000 m³(CBM) a year, providing leading-edge technology in boards. MDF production tests started in 2003 and, in early 2004, these boards were already being marketed. Our commitment and efforts are oriented to become an International reference in the manufacture of MDF boards.
